How To Get A Cambodia Evisa?

How to get a Cambodia evisa?

Cambodia is a fascinating country, providing both ancient ruins and natural wonders, which is why it is definitely a country worth visiting at least once in your lifetime. However, most nationalities need a visa to enter the country, which is why you will find this article very informative. Instead of going to the Cambodian embassy in your country, you apply online for a Cambodia evisa, and you will save a lot of time and money in the process.

What documents are required?

Cambodia has a pretty straightforward visa policy, which is why you do not need much to get started. Of course, as a general requirement, you will need a valid passport. In case you do not have one, you can order passport photos online and take it from there. At the same time, the passport needs to maintain its validity for at least another 6 months from your date of arrival in Cambodia. Apart from your passport, you will also need a digital photo of yourself, preferably recent, and a means of payment. The latter can be either a credit/debit card or a Paypal account. You will be required to make the payment before submitting your application.

The application form

The form you find online could not be simpler. It is broken down into three easy steps, and you should have no issues in completing it. First of all, you are required to insert your general information such as name, date of birth, passport info, and so on. At this point, you must also select a processing time. Keep in mind that your choice will dictate the price of your visa. You have three options:

Standard processing – this option means that your application will be processed within four business days, and the cost is $60 (or the equivalent in your country’s currency.) It is the cheapest option, but if you plan ahead, there is no reason to waste money on a faster processing time.

Rush processing – this time your visa will be ready within two business days, but the total cost is $90.

Super Rush processing – this is the fastest options you have, and the application will be processed within 24 hours. As you can imagine, you will pay more for this, $120 to be more precise.

The second step of the application will ask you to revise everything you have put in in step one, and make the payment. Make sure that your information is accurate. Otherwise, you may end up applying again, and the cost of your visa is not refundable.

Last but not least, the third step will require you to answer a set of personal questions and upload some documents. The last part depends on the case. For example, if you travel with your minor child but without the other parent, you need an authorization letter from him/her. Once you are done, just submit your application and wait for it to arrive via e-mail.

Keep in mind that a Cambodia evisa is valid only at a few points of entry. They are Phnom Penh International Airport, Siem Reap International Airport, Poi Pet, Bavet, and Cham Yeam. Other points of entry require a consular visa for which you need to go to an embassy.

All in all, getting a Cambodia evisa has never been simpler. The fact that you do not have to waste your time with a trip to the embassy and you can do it whenever you want are huge selling points, which is why more and more people prefer the electronic system.
