Author : usama pnt

A birth certificates is a vital record that documents the birth of a child. The term "birth certificates" can refer to either the original document or a certified copy of or representation of the original record of birth.

What are birth certificates?

A birth certificates gives you details that have been registered in the official register of births. The actual record of birth is stored with a government agency. That agency will issue certified copies or representations of the original birth record upon request, which can be used to apply for government benefits, such as passports. The certification is signed and/or sealed by the registrar or other custodian of birth records, who is commissioned by the government.

Type of birth certificates:

There are two types of birth certificates with different levels of form:

1. A short certificate giving only the child's full name, sex, date and place of birth

2 .A full certificates giving you a copy of all the details recorded in the register:

Long Form Birth Certificate: This type of birth certificate is an exact replica of your original birthing records and will have information such as; parental details, including race, address, and other vital statistics. It is also possible for this type of birth certificate to include the actual doctor's surgeon who performed the delivery.

Short Form Birth Certificates: This type of birth certificates is also referred to as a computer certification and is a shorter version of the long form birth certificate. These are usually easier to get hold of. The reason for this is that while a long form birth certificates is an exact replica of the original certificate, a short form birth certificates is proof of the original certificate's existence.

The Birth certificate includes details such as the name of the child, its gender, the names of the parents, the Childs date of birth, the location of Births and has additional information such as mother's full name and maiden name.
