Cure Your Acne With Ingredients You Have On Hand

Author : Bata Vatutah

When you get a pimple what is the first thing you do? If you are like most people the first thing you do is reach for one of the 'zit zappers' in your medicine cabinet. Harsh chemicals are usually part of the solution as they can sometimes cause blemishes to disappear, but sometimes not. The use of chemicals like this often spawns the growth of more acne on your epidermal layer instead of getting rid of it. So if you do have an acne breakout, using natural ingredients on your skin is usually best. Here are some household ingredients that you can use to clear up your skin.

You probably already know that green tea is quite healthy. It's recommended to maintain good health, and even for weight loss. Drinking or otherwise consuming green tea can help your body in a number of ways. Using green tea topically to treat acne is still another way to use this remarkable substance. For this reason, green tea is often a prominent ingredient in costly acne remedies, at least the natural kind that you buy over the counter. Why not try applying some on your own at home? It's cheaper, healthier and has been proven to clear even moderate acne problems.

Many people will use raw honey for their acne problems. One of the best things you can apply to your skin is honey. A moisturizer, along with antibacterial qualities, this substance is great for your skin in many different ways. It is a wonderful acne treatment for people who have both dry or combination skin. Not only will this fight standard pimples, but will also prevent blackheads as well. Similar to using a facial mask, honey will pull the impurities out of your pores.

If you have blackheads, removing the impurities will help. Basically, it is impossible to have blackheads if the impurities are extracted. Using upward strokes during the application, leave the honey on for about 10 minutes and then wash it off.

Don't drink alcohol or smoke cigarettes. Smoking and drinking are two terrible habits. Not only will your internal organs be affected in a bad way, it can also adversely affect your skin. The smoke from smoking can clog your pores and give your skin a thin and papery texture. If your body begins to dehydrate due to overuse of alcohol, it can cause acne breakouts on a dime. While this isn't exactly the same thing as a "natural remedy" in the sense that you use it to cure your acne, it is a "natural remedy" in that it is a behavior that you can change naturally that will help improve the quality of your skin.

Zits and pimples aren't something you have to just live with. You should visit a doctor if your acne is severe. Most of the time, though, natural herbs, foods and oils can provide all the help you need to eliminate your zits and pimples. You're usually better off sticking to natural substances as opposed to harsh chemicals or drugs, as these are gentler on the skin and the whole body. Believe it or not, those herbs, spices, fruits, vegetables and oats all contain lots of properties that will help you stay looking and feeling young for decades to come.
