Creating Braai Ideas

Author : Frederick Singletonne

Making braai plans can be simple or challenging based on how you decide to get it done. There is the smart method and then the not too smart way.

The not too smart method of making braai plans would be the following:

Call everybody in your contacts list and let them know you're having a braai on a particular day and they're invited. They can come if they want, no RSVP date, just pitch up. This makes thing really difficult as you don't know how much room you are going to need on the braai or how much seating you'll need. You could end up with nobody coming to your braai or even everyone - it'll all depend on their mood on the day.

The more smart method of making braai plans would this:

Call a few people who you interact with socially on a regular basis and invite them to the braai. Ask them to inform you by a particular date if they are coming or not. This will allow you to plan for enough pace on the braai for the meat and also make sure there will be enough salads and also seating for everybody to have what they want and be comfy. Making braai plans in this way tells you what to anticipate and helps you to organise things so you don't run short or even get too much and live on left over salads for the rest of the week following your braai.

The real key components to making your braai plans go off without a problem is always to make sure everyone is conscious of whether or not they have to provide their very own meat or not, if they have to bring their own seats (although it is a good idea to have some spare, in case) and if they have to provide their very own drinks. You also need to make sure you are aware how many people are going to be arriving so that you can be sure you have sufficient room and also sufficient salads and also snacks to go around. Make your life simpler and make your braai plans smartly.
