A proper hair care is of utmost importance to avoid unpleasant conditions like dandruff, abnormal hair fall, split ends, dryness, and premature graying. There is no doubt that a well-cared and styled hair plays an important role in making you look smart and stunning. If your hair is messy, unhealthy, or not styled properly, it can definitely affect your overall appearance and personality. Contrary to what many people think, getting a luxurious and healthy hair is not something that is hard to achieve. There is also no need to go to expensive salons to take care of your hair.

Some simple home remedies can help you make your hair look radiant, healthy, and stylish. If you want to improve the condition and health of your hair, the first thing you should do is to include foods that are rich in vitamins and nutrients in your diet. Vitamins like A, E, C, B3, B6, and B12 are essential for the growth and health of the hair. Vitamin A avoids itching and dryness and prevents scalp from becoming flaky. Vitamin E and B3 improve the circulation of blood to the scalp and reduce dryness. The vitamins B6 and B12 are helpful to deal with baldness problem.

Your hair requires nutrients like inositol and biotin to maintain the health and strength of hair follicles. Biotin is also beneficial to prevent premature graying and the loss of hair. Maintaining proper hair hygiene and following healthy hair habits are perhaps the best home remedies for hair care. Wash your head regularly, at least once in a week. Make sure that the shampoo you use is suitable for your type of hair. Before shampooing, comb or brush your hair to remove the knots and dirt accumulated on the hair. Avoid excessive shampooing to prevent dryness. It is also advised to use a conditioner after shampooing to maintain the moisture level of your hair.

Handle your hair gently and with care while shampooing and drying. If possible, let the hair to dry naturally. If you have to blow dry your hair, make sure to remove excess water before using the blow dryer. It is best not to use a high temperature setting to blow dry your hair. The home remedies also include avoiding brushing or combing wet hair, staying away from excessive exposure to the sun, putting on a hat when you go out, wearing a cap while swimming to protect your hair from chlorinated water or salt water, trimming your hair regularly to prevent split-ends, not using hair care products that contain alcohol, and to drink a lot of water.

Olive oil is one of the best home remedies for baldness. It conditions your hair, reduces dandruff, cures baldness, and makes it shiny. Massaging your head and scalp daily with your fingers is beneficial to lessen hair loss and to boost blood circulation. Lemon juice is a good natural remedy for dandruff. Apply some lemon juice and wait for 20 minutes, and then wash it off.
