Also the traffic the website will handle will need to be considered for efficient running of the website. There are various approaches to analyze website and judge the website performance.
The most important aspect of creating a website is to meet expectations. What does a client need in his website? How will the website be useful for his clients? Will the website host advertisements of other clients? If these facts are clearly placed before the web designer then the work is half done. These facts guide the designer regarding the structural and functional aspects of a particular website. The next aspect to be judged is the scale of the website. It is definitely not advisable to create a huge and vast website targeted at a small user scale. The economy of scale should be of paramount importance. To analyze website in a proper manner one must check for malicious links present in the website or seemingly safe links which are then redirected to other worms or dead ends. The architecture of the website may also affect the performance of a particular site radically. If the basic structure is flawed then the functioning will be hampered. Another side of website structure is to have a contingency plan. What if the website crashes? How will if affect the client and what measures need to be taken to avoid such a crash needs to be calculated. The critical resources of the website need to be estimated and recovery plans kept in stand by. To analyze website performance correctly these aspects need to be checked thoroughly.
