Exercise and weight loss have long been associated with each other. We've heard it over and over that in order to lose weight we need to exercise. While it is true that exercising regularly can have very pleasing weight loss results it is also true that there is more to weight loss than just exercise. Weight loss is a routine that involves diet, discipline, and motivation done everyday for your weight loss program to fully effect. Exercise does help us in burning fats but a healthy diet must be incorporated first. Also keep yourself motivated to finish your program and disciplined in what you eat and how much time you will allot to working out. Most people find it easier to cut off a thousand calories off their meals rather than burn a thousand calories with exercise. But studies have shown that exercise and weight loss are go together.

You need exercise to maintain that healthy body. Many people think that once they have achieved their desired body shape they can stop exercising. Well, they think wrong. No matter how active your lifestyle is, exercising is still a must to maintain a healthy body. If you don't burn the same amount of fats but intake the same amount of it, you will likely gradually gain pounds again. Even just a ten-minute work out everyday is fine as long as you get to burn those excess fats.

Decrease splurging on food as it can reverse all your efforts on losing weight. Many people allow themselves cheat days or days when they can eat anything they want to reward themselves. Although it isn't bad to once in a while eat something not healthy and a slice full of calories, you must learn how to control it. It is inevitable to have cravings once in a while and you should satisfy yourself somehow. But you must be disciplined enough to burn those calories the next days. Or better, on those cheat days, consume only a little of those calories rich food.

Exercising daily may not be enough for some people. It is very much true that exercising help burn calories leading a physically healthy lifestyle is the best way to really lose weight and have a healthy body. If you are just going around the corner don't bring your car, walk instead. It is not that a thirty minute work out everyday isn't going to help you burn fats it is that thirty minutes will not make up for the 23 1/2 hours you spent not burning calories.
