Baby Heartbeat Monitor

Author : Stephanie Gilbert

Parents are always on edge about their children, especially when they know their children have a greater risk of getting the 'silent killer' SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome). Even those children who look healthy can experience this illness. Today there are special kinds of baby heartbeat monitors that parents can acquire which can give then peace of mind while they do their daily chores: "Introducing into the market the Angelcare Movement Sensor with Sound Monitor".

Three Main Functions

There are at least three modes with The Angelcare Movement Sensor. All worried parents will be able to use this special sensor/sound monitor as your child grows into adulthood. With this monitor you are able to hear the slightest whimper and movement of your baby. With this monitor all the movements your child makes, you will hear a special ticking sound. After twenty seconds, an alarm will give off a warning sound if there is no sound detected. If it becomes annoying, you can always switch the Tic Off mode. Then again, you will still be able to hear your baby's sounds through the sound lights. All this time, your baby's every movements are still being monitored. An alarm will go off in case no movement is noticed for about twenty seconds. If you think that even the alarm going off every twenty seconds is too bothersome, you can use Sound Only mode. Even when the movement sensor is switched off, parents will still hear the sounds through the visual sound lights. For those who may need more input, the additional sensory features can be lifesaving.

Effective Function of Angelcare System

Place a sensor pad under the center of your child's mattress making sure the sensor pad is on a hard, flat surface. The cord must pass underneath the entire mattress, and coming out at the corner of the crib. The cord is then plugged into the nursery unit transmitter or operated with four AAA batteries. This is the same for the parents' side of the unit. When switching on the parents' units you can select either channel A or B and make sure the parents' units are set on the same channel. Also with the desired mode for the nursery unit – you can choose Tic Off, Sound & Movement or Sound Only. If you like, one parents' unit can be placed in the bedroom and the other one with you as you attend to other duties.

Other features of the Angelcare baby heart monitor:

* Sound lights - Indicator lights that are found on the LED sound bar on the parents' unit will allow you to "see:" your baby's sounds at all times.
* Optional "Tic" Feature - If the parent sets the nursery unit to the mode Sound & Movement, it will tick continually with each movement that your little one makes. If there is no movement detected by the sensor pad that is located underneath the baby's mattress, all ticking will stop.
* Movement Indicator Light - Only the nursery unit has the movement indicator light. If the nursery unit is set either to Tic Off or Sound & Movement, when baby moves, the indicator light on the parents' unit will flash green.
* False Alarms - Sometimes, it is possible to get false alarms with this baby heartbeat monitor. After your baby is taken out of her crib, make sure you turn the nursery unit off. For other problems, see the troubleshooting guide located in the instruction manual.
