For people to trust you and for them to give you their email addresses willingly, you will need to be honest about your intentions and what you offer them. Inform people that what they will get when they sign up are regular email newsletters about new products, new ideas and information.

Giving people who "opt-in" the added advantage of special offers and discounts that only they can get can also help you build-up a list of people you can send regular emailed updates to. This will also help your new business grow steadily and help you build lasting relationships with your customers.
