Email Marketing And Helping New Businesses Grow

Author : Jessie Stone

Earning revenue from a business these days is not as easy as it was in the past...or is it? People who are internet savvy and who know the importance of getting to the people who matter the most, which are the customers, understand that one of the more effective ways to increase revenues and help their business grow is through email marketing.

Email marketing is essentially a method that you can use to convert one time visitors to your site into loyal customers. How this works is simple enough. What you need to have on your site is an opt-in page or a sign-in sheet that gets the emails of the people who come to visit you. You can do this by using email marketing software.

Of course, when you request individuals to give you their email addresses, you will need to tell them why. Some of the reasons you can use to get people to give you their email addresses willingly include telling them that this is to help keep them informed about new products, special discounts and other similar information they might want to get.

People often want to be in on information that they can use. Getting emails about discounts, freebies, new items and such is considered knowledge customers can use. If you get this news out to the customers that opt-in for email newsletters and updates from you, you are essentially advertising directly to probable clients and this in turn helps bring in more revenue.

New businesses that know they have the products that people will want, and are continuously developing products that they know people will need, can actually make use of this medium to increase the number of customers they have . Telling people on your site that you will let them know of new items that will be on sale soon if they sign up to receive such news via email can actually work to the advantage of both the business and the buyer.

Businesses that want to do better than the competition need to be able to keep their clients informed about these things and what better way to do so than to go straight to their email inboxes with important updates. Of course, you cannot fool visitors into giving you their email addresses with empty promises of free items and such. That is not good marketing.

For people to trust you and for them to give you their email addresses willingly, you will need to be honest about your intentions and what you offer them. Inform people that what they will get when they sign up are regular email newsletters about new products, new ideas and information.

Giving people who "opt-in" the added advantage of special offers and discounts that only they can get can also help you build-up a list of people you can send regular emailed updates to. This will also help your new business grow steadily and help you build lasting relationships with your customers.
