Step 1: Diet

The best thing you can do to lose 20 pounds in one month is to eat a very healthy diet. Unfortunately, this is one of the hardest things to do- especially when most people are misinformed to knowing the best diet for weight loss!

If you think it's eating absolutely no carbs, you're wrong.

If you think it's eating a ton of starchy carbs, you're wrong.

If you think a lot of fruit will help you burn fat quickly, wrong again.

If you think eating fat is bad, then guess what- sorry, wrong one more time.

You see most people don't really know how to eat a healthy diet. They're told to eat a "balanced" diet of starchy carbs, a little fat and protein, and don't forget TONS of calcium from dairy!

The sad thing is, this type of diet isn't working yet we're still expected to follow it! There are several reasons why this type of diet doesn't work for our body.

Fruits aren't too bad for you, but do have a lot of sugar. Fructose, the sugar in fruit, is converted into fat more easily than any other type of sugar out there. If you want to know how to lose 20 pounds in a month, one thing I can tell you is to stay away from too much fruit!

Another thing to consider is starchy carbs like bread or potatoes. We're told every day that we need these foods, but the truth is they're killing us! The gluten in most of these foods has tons of serious negative effects, which are compounded over decades of eating these foods. There has been a lot more research into this lately, yet it is still not widely known how dangerous gluten is.

Finally, consider dairy. Most of us love milk or ice cream, but it has very negative effects on our bodies as well. If you want to lose 20 pounds in one month, take heed- stay away from dairy! No other animal drinks another animal's milk- much less after reaching adulthood and having the milk "purified" through tons of heat and chemical treatment!

So what do you have left? The best way to lose twenty pounds quickly is with lots of vegetables and meats. These are very high quality foods that give you everything you need- protein, fat, carbs, fiber, and tons of vitamins and minerals. They also don't have negative effects on the body like many other foods do.


Step 2: Exercise

Exercise is very important to help you learn how to lose 20 pounds in a month. You probably already know this, but do you know all of the benefits of exercise?

For one thing, it helps boost your metabolism. The higher your metabolism, the more calories you burn. Because losing weight is just a numbers game, you want to burn as many calories as possible, which means building muscle!

By building stronger muscles, you are building insurance against fat. Because muscles burn more calories than fat, you are setting yourself up to burn more calories 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Also, cardiovascular workouts such as running, swimming or walking burn insane amounts of calories. Do this several times a week, and you'll lose twenty pounds in no time!


Step 3: Reduce Stress

Stress is becoming more and more linked to deadly diseases and disorders every single year. It harms our bodies in several ways, and definitely can't help you lose 20 pounds in a month!

If you really want to reach this goal, you'll probably want to reduce stress. There's a few good ways to do that without costing any money at all.

For example, play outside with the dog or kids. Pick up a new hobby to occupy your spare time. Read a fiction book. Take a nice, long vacation. Spend a day hiking, at the beach, or someplace else that makes you feel relaxed.
Simply doing little things like these every day can do wonders for your health, and help you lose weight quickly and easily.


Step 4: Get More Sleep

How much sleep do you get every night? If you want to know how to lose 20 pounds in one month, you should know how much sleep you get- and try to get a bit more.

If you're like most Americans, you get less than 7 hours a night. Our bodies need at least 7 hours, and many people need at least 8, 9, or even 10 hours to be full functional! The fact is that everyone is a little different, but for the most part we all need at least 7 hours a night.

By not getting enough sleep, your body is working overtime. Your heart and other organs don't get to rest. Your mental clarity is reduced, so you can't think straight. Motor skills are impaired- sometimes severely if you're extremely tired! The body's chemistry isn't correct, as it can't properly heal without enough sleep.

Overall, try to get more sleep. This will help you feel better and go a long way to help anyone trying to lose stomach fat fast (or any type of fat for that matter).


Step 5: Diet Supplements

There is some debate with this issue, but most actual users of diet supplements agree- if used correctly, these things work.

The reason I say they have to be used correctly is that many people don't! They think they already know how to lose 20 pounds in a month- just take this miracle pill and they're all set!

That's just not how it works. These are supplements, not miracle pills. To get the most out of them, you have to have a healthy diet and get plenty of exercise and sleep.
