Exploring The Water With A Boat Share

Author : Ben Carper

A boat share is a unique idea if you cannot quite afford to own a dream yacht, but you do want to have something to do with being on a yacht. You have some ownership, but without the associated costs and maintenance associated with owning one fully. The upside of this is that it is totally resalable. So, if you wanted out of the agreement, you just sell your asset to someone else.

Part ownership in a watercraft gives you the freedom to be able to walk on and off without any maintenance and service hassles. Imagine how nice that is. You can also book a skipper, if you are not familiar with the sea. This can be included in your watercraft agreement. What is more, insurance is not even a problem.

You have the benefits of ownership without the maintenance and upkeep hassles. You have the benefits of owning it without all the hassle associated with privately owning one by yourself. This is a great asset that can be converted to cash, if you wish to sell your part in the asset.

You can have a cleaning service included in your plan that you buy. This would be a higher cost, but would pay back with not having the responsibility of cleaning once you were done with your use of the watercraft. This is a great option, if you just don't want to clean up, yourself.

If you chose the most inclusive options, you would then just pay for the fuel for the watercraft. That would be the best deal as you wouldn't then have the other responsibilities, such as cleaning with the best plan there was offered.

There is one downside to this type of ownership, rather than to actually own the boat exclusively. You have to plan when to use the boat share, rather than going out whenever you feel like it.
