Cellulite- The Data

Though not the difficulty it once was, cellulite still causes distress to many women who have extra fat in the tissues of their outer thighs, behind and stomach. Though rarer, men can also suffer with cellulite which is usually seen as regions that seem to be a lighter tone than the remainder of the skin. When there is fluid in the layers of skin, it becomes a problem because inserted fats and other poisons become besieged and don't get flushed out unlike somebody with good blood flow who will have smooth skin. The tissues with the stored fats and toxins become hard over time manufacturing the rough 'orange peel ' effect called cellulite.

How this cellulite will look and form is dependent on the person's genetic make-up, the type of life they lead and their weight. Because there are various kinds of cellulite, even active and fit people can suffer with it even though they aren't fat, including the likes of professional dancers and runners because the cellulite is located contained in the muscle itself. It's the hard or solid cellulite that cause Problems and are tough to remove as they're attached right to the muscles. The soft cellulite on the other hand are more easily identified because they are closer to the surface of the skin and significantly better to remove.

It is ladies that suffer the most from cellulite and this can begin anytime after their fourteenth birthday and will usually become worse with age. Cellulite has been linked to the contraceptive tablet or when a lady has given birth and regularly it could even be set off by an accident or injury.

Improving the circulation with exercise, mixed with a healthy diet, will improve the look of cellulite and is still considered to be the best way to boost your cellulite condition. From the diet viewpoint, eating plenty of fruit and veggies and working with a de-toxing diet, improves the chances of the cellulite disappearing. Multi grain foods are also hugely commended but foods that should be steered clear of include frequent tops like coffee and fizzy drinks.

Some people think that eating spicy foods adds to the cellulite formation but no definite evidence that this is the case has so far been brought to light. However, the same can't be said for smoking and alcohol which should be avoided as both assist in the build-up of poisons in the body. While a fat free diet is always ideally for health, reducing the ingestion of greasy foods helps subdue the expansion of the cellulite because fat is harder to digest and more challenging to get rid of from your body.

While cellulite ointments have some success at stopping the cellulite formation and growth, they can't as yet, remove cellulite from the tissue altogether. The emollients work by making the skin more elastic and contain alpha-hydroxyl acid which doesn't basically take away the cellulite but helps to hide it. Water, whether consumed or in treatment form is good for the skin as it removes poisons and fats from the system, improving the circulation and digestion, in effect rendering the cellulite less visible.
