Full Moon In Libra April 17th 2011

Author : Barbara Goldsmith   Top Author

Maybe it's your relationships, because relationships are a key theme of Libra. Perhaps it's time to take a long hard look at the way you interact with others. Are you putting other people's needs before your own, or are you being too selfish and thinking only of yourself? Maybe you are someone who is always tidying and cleaning up after everyone else and you are feeling unappreciated. During this Full Moon in Libra, it's likely that your resentment and dissatisfaction will surface and it won't be so easy for you to swallow your negative emotions.

It could be your health that will be highlighted this month. Maybe you have been overdoing it and need to take a rest. Perhaps you have been eating too much junk food and you are feeling as though you don't have enough energy to get through the day. This Full Moon will likely accentuate this and you will have a chance to make improvements.

Libra likes to keep the peace, but if there are great imbalances in areas of your life, you can expect to have this peace disrupted. You may need to risk upsetting the peace, but the more of a light you shine on your relationships during this Full Moon, the more aware you will become of compromises that you have made and you may need to face some conflict before you can achieve the balance you so deeply desire.

All your relationships will come under sharp focus.

Here are a few things you might want to ask yourself:

Is your self-worth determined or nurtured by your relationships?
Are your business and personal relationships balanced?
Is there an equal balance between giving and receiving?
Are you able to say no to people or do you keep on giving in?
Are you fulfilling your own needs as well as those of your partner? Are you being a doormat or are you being too selfish?
Are you neglecting yourself for the sake of others and their feelings?
Are you trying to keep the peace but you are not happy with the actions of those people in your life?
Are you being totally honest, or are you trying to sugar-coat your emotions to make them more palatable to the people in your life?
Which of your relationships require you to be more assertive and decisive?
Are you being your true self around other people or are you just trying to keep them happy?
Have you been too preoccupied with everyone else's needs that you have forgotten your own needs?
Do you have clear boundaries in place in your relationships? Do you need to make some adjustments?
Are you really in tune with the people you are supposedly closest to? Have some grown beyond you, or have some fallen away into their own patterns while you've been moving rapidly along?
Are you holding onto the dream of a relationship and sweeping under the carpet some unpleasant realities?
Are you seeing someone for who they truly are or rather what you want them to be?

Good things to do during this Full Moon:

Think about ways in which you can collaborate with others
Bring something beautiful into your life
Visualise and pray for world peace
Indulge yourself in a beauty treatment, a new hairdo, a day at the spa, a massage, something where you can luxuriate and enjoy. If you are on a budget, try to do something that brings beauty into your life
Go out networking for your business
Meet someone new on a first date
Go to the theatre, the opera, a concern, an art gallery or a museum.
Have a romantic dinner
Really listen carefully to the people in your life. Try to keep an open heart and an open mind
Look for key people arriving in your life that you can connect with
Analyse your relationships carefully and be prepared to end any relationships that you feel are no longer nourishing to you

You may have the urge to start something new, but you need to look at what you need to release during this Full Moon, so that you can start new projects at the next New Moon. Make some space over the next two weeks and remove the things from your life that keep you out of balance.

The Full Moon illuminates any hidden issues in the house in which it falls. For me, it's in the same sign as my Sun and in my fourth house, so anything that is not balanced in relation to my home and the people closest to me will be highlighted. Lately, I've been spending a great deal of time at home, quietly working, reading, writing and not doing any socializing. Maybe I need to balance this out with allowing myself some social time so that I can really appreciate the times when I am alone.

Make the most of this Full Moon in Libra and allow it to bring your life into a greater balance giving you more joy and peace.
