Remember that in order for you to gain some weight, you should consider the amount of calories that you partake every day. Determining the needed calories for you to gain weight is a must because if you eat fewer calories than this amount, then you will lose weight instead of gaining it. So if you want to gain some weight and be muscular, you should be able to consume more calories every day in a regular basis.

Weight Training

It is not enough that you knew the amount of calories that you need each day in order to gain weight. You should also perform some weight training because all of the weight you gain from calories can turn to fats and not muscles if you don't combine it with proper weight training. In order for you to get the best results, you must choose a workout routine that is ideal for muscle building so you could gain weight as quickly as possible, and at the same time, gain those muscles fast.


In order for you to put weight on fast, you have to consume enough protein as well. Fitness experts say that you should be able to eat one gram of protein to gain one pound of body weight, which means that if you weigh 150 lbs, then you are required to eat 150 grams of protein each day. Examples of high protein foods are chicken, eggs, fish and meat as well as protein supplements.

Fatty Acids

Remember to regularly consume foods that have essential fatty acids. This means that majority of your fat intake must come from healthy sources like fish and olive oil. But more importantly, remember to get enough of the Omega 3 fatty acids that are found mostly on fish oil supplements.


You should eat foods that are filled with carbohydrates so you would be able to gain weight and attain muscles in your body. Remember that majority of your carbohydrate intake must come from natural and nutrient-rich foods like fruits and vegetables. Other carbohydrate rich foods that are full of nutrients are brown rice, beans, potatoes and some whole wheat and grain products.

So, there you have it... the following things mentioned above are the most important things that you should watch out for in order to put weight on fast and get the muscles that you have been dreaming of. But aside from these things, make sure to drink plenty of water and get enough sleep too. If you just follow these tips and do them in a regular basis, then you will certainly be on your way to gaining some weight and achieve the muscular body that you have been dreaming about.
