If high cholesterol is something you have, do you know that there are things you can do besides medicines which can lower this? Not many people are aware of this. However, you really should be made aware. Here, you can learn about the food that lower cholesterol and what they are.

When studies were done, many have found people who eat whole grains are really helping themselves. They have the thinnest walls when it comes to the artery walls. This is what you want so eating cereals in the morning that are made of whole grain, then this would be for you.

Blueberries are great to eat as well. The compounds in them are great for those who have this sort of cholesterol as well. Some will tell you that blueberries are actually better than medicine as they do the same things. However, people prefer this food due to the fact that it is all natural.

If you are a nut fiend, then this will make you happy. There are studies which prove that those that eat pistachios, walnuts, and almonds have helped them to lower their cholesterol. You eat pistachios to work on your bad cholesterol. You eat walnuts for your heart. Then, almonds are said to help with your arteries and the blockage which are in them.

There are some who will say that they had success with this by adding flaxseed in their list. It has been said to help with blood pressure in men. When they eat this or consume this, they lower both their blood pressure and more.

Others of you might want to drink cranberry grape juice. You have to be able to get the real stuff which is one hundred percent. The cranberry works on the bad to lower it. The grape juice is used to raise the good. Think of how good it will be as you can take this on the go with you and drink it as you are out and about.

As you look at these things, there are just some of the things that you will find. There are many things in which you can go about and find. These are not even half the things you can eat. There are just as many options which are great to lower this. So, find yourself a complete list and start shopping for them. The sooner you have this, the better off you are.
