Elements To Look For In Golf Simulators

Author : Frances Woodley

For more than 500 years, golf has been one of the well-loved sports in the world. However, going to a golf course has become a burdensome task to do considering the busy schedule of people nowadays. Because of this, a busy player cannot really receive proper coaching to enhance his skills for golf. So, golf simulators are made and have since become popular.

Players can now play golf anytime and anywhere using the simulator. He can become the master of the sport without needing a coach. This also means investing less time and money for a golf player. There are a lot of golf simulators available out there. However, before rushing to buy yourself one, you have to know the features of a good golf simulator.

First, check the number of courses available. If a golf simulator has a hundred courses but you only like 5 of them, there is no point in investing your money with that one. However, if you see a simulator with only 20 courses available but you love more than half of them, then this is a more reasonable buy.

Also verify if the courses are 2D or 3D. A 2D simulator utilizes pictures and can sometimes be frustrating especially if you will hit your shots in rough areas frequently. The simulator will then take you back to your previous shot. 3D simulators are computer based and can give a more realistic view of a golf course.

There are also some simulators which will allow you to adjust the weather, wind, and time of play. Look out for older simulators which move the ball in straight line despite a slope on the course. For a more realistic feel of the game , look for more advanced simulators wherein the trajectory of the ball is curved based on swing path and slope of the course.

The next important element to look for in a golf simulator is the greatest number of players in a round. For some simulators, they can allow up to 4 players to play in a single round. But, it is best to choose simulators which allow up to 8 players especially if you're going to use it in business purposes.

The next element to look for in a golf simulator is its swing analyzer software. A good swing analyzer will enable you to do club fitting and will help you improve your golf skills. There are some golf simulators which have built-in swing analyzers while others may offer it as an add-on.

The swing analyzer will give you feedback about your shots. It will help you in improving your club speed, ball speed, launch angle, etc. A good simulator must also have a good sensor technology in order for it to use the swing analyzer. Make sure that you have sufficient space to swing your club as if it is a real golf game.
