It is when you ingest cholesterol in excessive quantities your body often cannot utilize all of it. When this happens, the LDL releases the excess into the blood.

This can cause health problems as the released cholesterol keeps accumulating in the arteries.

Lowering Cholesterol Naturally

If you know that you are suffering from significantly hgih levels of cholesterol but do not want to take any kind of cholesterol medication, there are other ways that are available for you to lower your levels of cholesterol naturally. The best thing you can do for yourself is to incorporate a variety of foods that have been proven to reduce your level of cholesterol and stay away from foods that have been proven to be brimming with cholesterol. Exercise is a good option but it works best if done in tandem with a low-cholesterol diet.

Lowering cholesterol naturally is not something that will happen overnight.

Lowering cholesterol naturally is not as effective for all. Some people will find it necessary to take medication.

It is good to know though that you can reduce your cholesterol with the required medication and still keep using natural lowering methods as well.

Getting your doctors advice is always recommended prior to getting started with any kind program to reduce your cholesterol levels either naturally or with a medication.
