So you sought out an SEO company for SEO services. Now the question is how your budget will be allocated. Your companies marketing budget should include both organic SEO services and some paid search advertising. What are the pros and cons of SEO versus PPC? Click fraud is always possible with paid advertising. Automated software that clicks on your ad can kill your budget without generating any sales. Studies show that most people don’t even pay attention to the far right side of the page where most listings are.

Search Engine Optimization also known as SEO requires a lot more work than PPC. The website needs to be prepared in order to be “SEO friendly”. Doing SEO work yourself is possible but can be very time consuming and does get into some advanced concepts. SEO is a long term strategy and takes ongoing work in order to achieve increased rankings. Results may take months to show up but can also take as little as a few weeks. Top page organic search results for the right keywords can bring your site a tremendous amount of targeted traffic. There is no need to worry about paying per click as it is free and your listing won’t just disappear like PPC.

It is best to go with a combination of both campaigns would be beneficial. You can learn which keywords are performing from paid search and develop organic search strategies to go after these, naturally. Bottom line is that more often than not a great organic SEO campaign delivers a better ROI than paid advertising.
