Why Fish Is So Healthy

Believe it or not, fish is actually much better for you than poultry, beef or pork. Fish is the leanest meat available today. It also has benefits such as containing a high amount of Omega-3 and other healthy fats. Even if you don't like fish, there are some alternatives.

Omega-3 is a subject of intensive debate in this current time. It has been linked to things such as weight loss and a reduced risk of heart disease. However, there are some nay-sayers out there. Some say there is not enough evidence of the health benefits it supposedly gives, but many people have had great results simply from increasing their fish intake.

Fish has less fat than beef, poultry, and pork. It is definitely the leanest meat around, and the fat it does have are healthy fats such as Omega-3. Try substituting in fish instead of beef, chicken or pork, and you'll have some amazing health benefits.

Some might think that you're just out of luck if you don't like fish. But a multi-vitamin and a fish oil pill can give the same benefits as eating 2 servings of fish per week, the recommended consumption of fish. I recommend searching around for a fish you like, because they all taste different. The pills work just as well however, and you should take them if you can't find a fish you like.

You should start adding fish to your diet if you haven't already; it has many great benefits. It can help you lose weight and have other positive impacts on your health. Even though it hasn't been proven that Omega-3 provides the benefits many claim, it is still a great idea to have it in your diet. Eat some fish today!
