From Amish To Creative: The Tale Regarding Heartfelt Creations Die Cut Stamps

Author : Dusty Mower

Almost every business organization provides a history of how they originated. or where they began, or even the issues they experienced to get to the top, however I would dare say that there is virtually no story like that of Heartfelt Creations. A respected manufacturer of stamps in the scrap booking sector that originated from the farms of Northern Indiana to currently a celebrity operation to crafters worldwide. Through summer of 1995, President Linda Bontrager obtained her very first rubber stamp and went from Amish to imaginative and this girl has not looked back. Today a decade's later Heartfelt Creations is among the leading vendors of quality rubber stamps with revolutionary and leading edge designs. They inspire, they make you dream, and offer out the creative genius in all. But exactly how did this all originate from an Amish lady on the farm?

The Establishment

Summer of 95 is actually when Linda received her very first encounter with a stamp and the rest was history. Living on the farm and also being raised Amish, Linda had not been educated to think outside the box or to explore ones creative imagination until a short and simple demo of how a rubber stamp worked for her children would change that permanently. As told in her own words, "I will never forget the day I picked up a stamp for the first time. I had bought a little stamp set for my kids & I was showing them how to use it. I remember picking up the stamp, inking it up & pressing it down on the paper, as I lifted the stamp and saw the image it was that AHH HA moment. Its one of those moments in life when you realize just now you had discovered something amazing, and that would shape the course of your future." By winter of 1997 she had accumulated a box full of rubber stamps and started the family business right in their new house on an 80 acre farm. In many ways you could say it was symbolic of beginning a "new" life as well as putting behind the previous one. In any sense the actual stamping journey began for Heartfelt Creations.

The Rubber Art Stamps

Heartfelt Creations at the moment supplies four types of rubber stamps: mounted, unmounted, precut, and rubber sheets. Wood mounted are generally deeply etched rubber images together with 1/8 inch foam, placed on hard white maple, indexed in black and lacquered. Unmounted would be the stamp image itself, but with no foam. Precut are to be used with the acrylic block. They are cut and also have the EZ Mount Foam on them for the Acrylic Block. And then lastly the actual rubberized sheets, that are generally 8.5 x 11 inches unless are available with wood mount foam or even the EZ mount foam for that acrylic block. There's also a more recent type of items too that's making headlines. They're the most famous type of scrapbook stamps that coordinate together with exclusive Spellbinder scrapbook die cuts. This method of incorporating the stamp with the die-cut results in a detailed graphic on your die cut, helping you to produce a rubber stamped dimension without using scissors. The Spellbinders dies together with the coordinating rubber stamps by Heartfelt Creations produces a 3-D explosion of possibilities, and adds interesting depth to any project.

As mentioned in the introduction of this article, the revolutionary and leading edge designs is the reason why these scrapbooking stamps very desirable for almost any craft enthusiast. With a little heartfelt family from Indiana along with an incredible creativeness for creation is what keeps this particular employer going strong. A mere thought in 1995 to a enthusiasm for designing in 1997 to an all out change of way of living and risk in 2004, truly defines there was a time for every season along with a rhyme for every reason. And today from 2007 to the current day, Heartfelt Creations has their local store in Nappanee, Indiana and continue to show their stamps throughout all scrapbook and craft tradeshows. What was once a very simple thought on the Amish farm has now made history as a innovative story and definately will continue to exist inside the posterity for many years ahead for the Bontrager household.
