Halloween Party Decoration Ideas

Author : Dr.Mike Boucher

Stop playing nice and start spooking your family with mysterious decor. Creep out the neighbors with these chilling outdoor Halloween decorations. From the clever to the creepy, these easy Halloween decorating ideas will keep everyone on their toes. All you need are some basic supplies and a wicked sense of humor. Family and friends will be left wondering how sweet you really are, when you can conjure up such ghoulish fun once a year.

Outdoor Halloween Decoration Ideas:

Halloween decorations cannot be complete without pumpkins. You can use pumpkins as a part of outdoor decoration. Spray paint the pumpkins or use intricate patterns. When painted in an innovative manner, these are bound to add a unique touch to your party.
You can also use carved pumpkins and keep candles inside to illuminate them. These pumpkins can be cut in a variety of shapes or one can create interesting expressions.

You can use old clothes and bags very effectively to create outdoor Halloween decorations. Scarecrows, figures of ghosts etc can be created from old sheets of cloth. Use strings to dangle them or prop them up against the porch.

Here’s another creative idea for outdoor Halloween decoration. An old umbrella would be a very useful object in this case. You would need to remove the fabric of the umbrella so that only the basic structure remains. Use some fake spider webbings and stretch it over the rods. Hand it on tree in the yard or wherever you please!

You can make paper cutouts of forms such as bats or ghoulish figures and place them strategically at different places in the yards. Next, tape a flashlight in a particular position to create an eerie effect.

Add more to the creepy effect for your Halloween party with large footprints possibly on the pathway in the garden or the porch area. For this, take a large piece of sponge and cut a big footprint pattern out of this. Now, dip this in some washable paint. Use this sponge to print large footprints wherever you want. Flip the sponge to print the other side of the foot!

Here’s another tip that’s easy as Halloween decoration. All you need are some Christmas lights, which may be stored away in the attic. Now, place these at specific locations in a bush. Place two lights at a few inches distance away from each other. When switched on, these lights will give the effect of gleaming eyes hiding in the bushes.

You can make little ghouls at home with some cotton strips. These can be hung in the outdoors. Get many pieces of cotton strips along with some balls of cotton. Also ensure you have some thread and a pencil. You need to attach the three cotton balls to the middle area of the cotton strip. This forms the head of the ghoulish figure. Tie a thread to the collar area to create a separation from the head and the rest of the figure. Use the pencil to create a face. Hang them at various places. Let them dangle to add a fun element to the atmosphere.

Use these outdoor Halloween decoration ideas to add more fun to your party.
