Homemade wine has its own flavor and the flavor does not come in store bought wine. It is a good gift to someone, by giving your own made wine. For making wine one has to choose right kind of grapes for the wine. Everyone likes wine so flavor adds into homemade wine increases the enthusiasm of people to drink. A homemade wine provides your own choice flavor as well as it is cheaper than store bought wine.

Wine making is a fun activity and not a job basically. Lots of people make their own wine for getting the real taste and flavor of it. Wine made by your own has a personal touch as well real taste of grapes and it is very unique gift to your friends who are fond of good wine. For making it the first question comes to mind is how to make wine from grapes?

The method of making grape-wine is very important before making it. Selection of right variety grapes is also important. There are mainly three categories of grapes available those are: native wild, native and European wine grapes. These grapes varies in their sugar content and PH level for providing the different flavors, sweetness, sharpness and their own real taste.

* Native wild grapes i.e. Muscadine, Fox and Frost are of sharp taste category grapes, they have less sugar content. On the other hand native wine grapes of category Niagara, Concord and Delaware has a larger sugar content and they are less sharpen in nature.
* European wine grapes of category Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Pinot Noir has almost nil sharpness in taste and are of very high sugar content.

The ultimate result of wine homemade wine making depends upon the right selection of grapes as well as the method for making it. Different people like different flavors of wine like some like citrus flavored wines. For making it citrus flavored, add citrus fruits such as oranges, apples, and berries. For extra flavor some adds ginger, watermelon etc. the invention of new flavor is endless in wine making, it all depends on how much money you put in making wine.

Requirement for making wine:

* A big fermentor up to 50 liters which includes airlocks, hydrometers and gauges.
* Airlocks help to allow the gases to escape while keeping out from passing into the utensil which harms the wine used for fermenting.
* Hydrometer used to display the sugar and alcohol content for giving the accurate reading to the wine maker of the progress of it, so that he can take the decision whether to stop the process or continue it.
