Garmin 110 GPS Watch Review

Author : Ryan Hendricks

The Forerunner 110 is the fantastic new GPS enabled running and jogging watch from the award winning forerunner series. The 110 watch incorporates the best functionality from its big brother, the Forerunner 405 GPS jogging and running watch and gives you extra features whilst still making it in at under 200USD. The new features that you get from the 110 running watch are as follows. HR calculated calorie expenditure statistics, an improved HRmonitor strap and a range of colours to, that you can select from.

The Garmin 110 watch includes a high sensitivity GPS receiver that enables the watch to precisely track your location as well as log essential information such as Average Pace, Speed and the distance of your run together with your heart rate. Unlike a foot pad sports watch, the GPS watch is never more inaccurate that 5m at any one time so your statistics are always reflective of your performance and don't get more inaccurate the longer your run. This allows you to keep track of your jogging routes in case you want to pull them up again

The GPS watch unit itself is virtually completely water proof and will endure the harshest a runner would have to endure when out jogging

After jogging a forerunner 110 for approximately a good year now, I can say that I have had no sticking points with the forerunner up to this point and honestly don't know what I did without one

For more information on the Garmin 110 see the Garmin Website.

My overall rating for the 110 GPS running watch is 8 out of a possible total of ten. A decent score for a entry level jogging GPS watch.
