Are You Going Bald?

Author : Shelly Brayzer

Almost every man in the western world worries about Men's hair loss. In other parts of the world, baldness and hair loss are seen as signs of virility. Preventing this and shaming men for it is a common reaction though, in the western world. In today's world though, there are different routes available to help one deal with losing your hair. From hair replacement therapies to understanding the underlying causes of the loss in the first place, you have lots of options available to you. We will discuss what some of these options are.

In order to get the best results from treatment you need to know the cause first. Have you been working to lose weight lately? Are you using prescription drugs to help? If so, that could be why your hair is getting thinner. STOP! Think about what you are doing to your hair, it's a proven fact that these types of medications can cause hair loss. This is because, often, diet pills mess around with a person's hormone levels and when certain hormones drop, so does hair production. If the inches are coming off just as fast as the hair is falling out you need to talk to your doctor.

Take a look at all of the other meds you are on. most pharmacists will tell you if the medication you are taking will cause hair loss. Because we don't know how each individual will react to a certain medication it is important to know what the side effects are. If you want to get the best benefits from your treatment you need to first diagnose the problem. Any noticable change in your hair loss should be reported to your doctor. There might be another medication that you can take or another way to treat your illness and/or hair loss.

You've heard it somewhere, the term cradle cap? Did you know that it can happen for adults too? Even such a trivial thing as cradle cap can cause hair loss in men as adults as well as children. Cradle cap is a crusty sort of rash that prevents hair from growing freely. Because of the number of causes we cannot possibly list them here. Your dermatologist will have a better idea of how to deal with this condition. The fact is this is an easy symptom to treat. Listen to your doctor, wait it out and follow his instructions.

Your thinning or receeding hairline is most likely the result of one of many conditions involving hair and scalp care. You must figure out the underlying cause before you go spending money on useless treatments. You need the close supervision of a physician to determine what your best course of action might be. If you have difficulty finding one consult a dermatologist for more help.

There are answers; you just need to work to find them!
