Making a representation to a person or entity has certain steps to consider. This representation may be in the form of an insignia but most commonly a logo. For some businesses, this is very important because this is a part of their marketing strategies in attracting more customers. In churches, it is a reflection of the entity's doctrine and values that the church made emphasis. For family insignias is a symbol that identify a certain group or faction of who they are and how long their family have existed. These symbols are extremely important and these can be used in many things, therefore, extra efforts should be done so that it can be perfectly made.
There are two categories on how and what to consider in making a logo. These are incorporated in the first category:
- Brief Design of the logo - you should make sure that emphasis is there it should be presented in a simple manner.
- Research and Brainstorming - talk to certain people about your presentation on what should be present and how it should be presented.
- Sketch of the logo - this would be the initial step to give clients an assessment on how it would look like and so they can add more design.
- Prototyping - Produce a hard copy or the logo for the second review. This can allow you to do modifications in case there are things to be changed.
- Client Review - this would be the third and final review with the client. They will decide if the logo has met their standards.
- Polishing Off - In this phase, you will be doing a few twitches here and there for little details that need a little adjustment. This should only be the basics so not to change the client's idea with the design.
- Finality - give the client the logo product and a brief explanation on why the design has come up.
These are part of the Second Category:
- Simplicity - this is the keyword that would let the design talk to viewers. Precise and Exact.
- Unique - aside from being simple, people should always think of the logo. This is the marketing aspect of the design.
- Timeless - Since it isn't good to always change logos, your design should be timeless. This means that its value and its effectiveness should not diminish with time. It should always fit any area.
- Versatile - Your logo should be flexible. This means that your logo can be used as signage outside of your office building or ca be used as in documents.
- Suitable - it means that the logo should be fitting with your business and what you are selling or it should emphasize on the clients use of the logo.
Creating a business logo is not easy. You have to think not only about making your logo visually appealing. You also have to consider what your customers want from you and what logo design will best address it. If youre not sure about your own skills on creating your logo design, hire a professional to make sure your logo is a true and effective embodiment of your business, your principles and goals.
