Whatever you want from your bedroom furniture, you can have. Go all white against black, with lightest of light walls and darkest of dark furniture. Alternatively, go dreamy romantic pastels with white painted bedroom furniture. You can even go sexy and a bit naughty, after your entire bedroom is not likely to be shared with anyone other than your partner. Our bedrooms are a personal space we have either to ourselves or with our other half.
Apart from the bed, which you can be very indulgent with, there are wardrobes, bedside cabinets and drawers that you can choose. How about a screen or even a soft comfortable chair or chaise longue, you really can go to town with your bedroom furniture and make a space you want to spend time in. Don't just have functional furniture and a so-so bed; go for pure selfish pleasure in the things you choose for your bedroom furniture.
Imagine a cold, wild, rain battered winter night, and now imagine your bedroom. Is it somewhere you would want to go and keep out of the stormy night? If not why not! So go down the road of luxury, make your bedroom a room that you love and want to use not just for sleep. You may think luxury will cost you way too much money, this is not necessarily so. Buy one piece of bedroom furniture at a time once you know what you want, or wait until the sales start.
So now your thinking of what you want, get out there and have a look. There is some amazing bedroom furniture available. Of course, you can go pure function, there is nothing wrong in that, but a little bit of extravagance or frivolity wouldn't go amiss either. So get those magazines out, start thinking of your bedroom furniture and the room with colour, fabrics and style. Plan what you want in your head and the reality won’t be far behind.
The only thing limiting you is your imagination, so let it run wild and create the space you want to go to at the end of the day. Make your bedroom a fantasy room or a comfortable reassuring room, but make it yours. Have candles, soft music, soft furnishings and throws to make it that bit more special. Your bedroom furniture can make a world of difference. Go for it.
