Recent surveys conducted by the hospitality industry in the UK has shown that today the most profitable commercial catering equipment investment is the coffee machine in the UK and without doubt in Australia as well. It's probably no surprise as we're all having two or three coffee's every day compared to perhaps a single coffee only a few years ago.

Hence, purchasing the most suitable coffee machine for your situation is very important in order to meet the coffee demand in your marketing range with consistent product quality and productive volumes for high profit opportunities.

There are many manufacturers brands and types of machines that are available and your exact requirements should determine the type of coffee machine you purchase to enable the best commercial outcomes for your business and at the same time providing the best quality product for your customers. For example the Boema Coffee Machine range can provide excellent returns and product quality at a highly competitive investment price. Boema was commenced in Australia by two Italian immigrants back in 1956 that eventually designed and built their first espresso machines for the Australian marketplace. And at the same time the first level machine was also designed and built.

Their machines were classically styled with chrome and glass, as the retro look was very popular during that period fitting in with the European décor of that time of Italian and Greek cafes and bars.

As the years rolled on the company changed management, changed the style of machines and colours and generally continued to develop better and better coffee machines for each era. However, most importantly the company continued to develop machines for the Australian marketplace.

For example at that time Australians enjoyed their coffee in mugs rather than the traditional European cafes of small cups and glasses and hence machines were needed that would accommodate higher heads in the coffee.

Today the ongoing development by all manufacturers of coffee machines has seen the development of the automatic coffee machine reach levels few could have predicted. Machines today will take the roasted coffee beans and grind them. Tamp them, brew them, steam and froth milk and then combine the coffee and milk in such a way that it produces an good looking cup of coffee.

So how does the automatic coffee machine suit the catering industry? Could an automatic coffee machine make the perfect latte for example. Some machine manufacturers are strongly claiming that their machines can make perfect espresso with Barista quality.

The automatic coffee machine has as its claim to fame the consistency of producing the same quality coffee each time - drink after drink. It could possible be an ideal solution in circumstances where there may be high staff turnover for example. Automation can also provide cost controls as an added benefit.

There will be countless arguments for automatic coffee machines and against them however the one point that cannot be debated is that a poor barista will make poor coffee and a poor machine will make poor coffee. So make sure you have all the facts before you decide to purchase your next coffee machine.
