Let's briefly take a look at your options online. One of the things you must be aware of is crazy sales tactics. I'm not going to bore you with them for a long time. However, they are easy to spot. It would usually start of with amazing promises like this, "learn to play guitar overnight", "become a professional guitarist in just one week!" and the list goes on. Let me tell you. I have been teaching guitar for a long time now and it's physically impossible to play guitar that fast. Your fingers would hurt so bad after just practicing for fifteen minutes a day, because you haven't developed any calluses yet. Besides, if it was that easy, everyone would play the guitar. Right?! Now I know that it's not easy to learn how to play guitar, let alone find easy guitar lessons for beginners. So how do you find the good lessons?
It shouldn't be that difficult to find good high quality online lessons for guitar. You just have to know what to look for. First ask yourself some few simple questions when you're doing your research on the lessons. Do they make their objective clear? Are the lessons outlined step by step? Do the instructors have had good education with years of experience? Do they offer any tools to make guitar easier and more fun to learn? Do they offer help in the form of forums or web casts or e-mail? Do they update their teaching methods? Is there an option to print out the lessons? If you can answer yes to all these questions, then you have found the right lessons.
Another method you might be tempted with is "free lessons". However, you get what you pay for. For one thing, they are usually not fully free. There is something usually attached. Almost all of the high quality guitar sites will offer free lessons to help you make up your mind on whether or not you want to sign up for their lessons. There are plenty of reasons why you shouldn't take these. Not only you will waste your time, but you can easily become frustrated and quit before you even began.
