So as to truly do an effective Ereader comparison you will first want to make your wish list of only specifically what you need it to accomplish for you. I understand the first response could be well duh I want to read a book with it Hello!. Yes, if it were that simple it would mean you really don't need an Ereader review of any sort and almost any model is going to do, but let's take a closer look at your personal needs and desires.
1. Do you want to take it everywhere with you? And how do you plan to carry it? If you're a morning commuter on the bus or train let's say or you do a quite a bit of airplane travel and you keep it in a briefcase or similar case the larger the screen the better so that you can cut down on eye strain. You will also want to be sure that it has a very good brightness adjustment feature so you can adjust for all the various light levels you will undoubtedly encounter all the time.
This is a big feature not to be overlooked because in a low light environment you want it to brighten and if the sun is streaming through the window on to your screen you are going to be glad you got the one that you can make the letters really dark and easy to read.
2. Do you take long trips with many hours on a flight and maybe even multi hour layovers stuck sitting in airports? If so one of your main concerns will be battery life and the amount of charge time it takes to repower your unit. If the one you're checking out lists an overnight charge time and does not have a quick charge feature you may want to reconsider. Also, check the stats page section very carefully and see if it will charge while in use? Why? Well, when you're waiting at the airport do you see all the other people with their laptops plugged in? Yes, then you could plug in too and have your Ereader charging while you're also reading and not wasting time twiddling your thumbs wishing you were still reading that can't put down book.
3. If you take your Ereader with you ANYWHERE and I do mean ANYWHERE then before you actually make your purchase be certain that there is a stylish but very durable, tough and shock resistant case available that you really like. It can be super frustrating to have already bought your Ereader only to find out all the Ereader cases leave a LOT to be desired.
Also on this vein check to see that your particular model you want is has a slew of accessories, trust me you will want them even more if you can't have them and you will only be disappointed. One accessory to be sure of is a night reading light. You know the little slip on clip on lights so you can read your new Ereader at night on your plane or train ride. Don't be fooled by companies marketing one size fits all, it's not true, there are some models that none of the cool aftermarket lights fit and so cool or not you're stuck getting only the one THEY sell.
The idea thread of this theme is that you should analyze your needs and then go find the best deals. Heck without naming names I have seen one company that even has Free books for many of the Ereaders they carry. Last time I checked Free was good, so when you see those you need to snatch them up before they trade them out.
A great source for Free of charge Ereader Books and a lot more cool tips and tricks can be found at=> http://www.buyereader.org/ereader-comparison P. Shelley dug in to just about all of the Ereader comparisons out there when looking for his own Ereader and you can see the results when you check out the site.
