Collectible Lapel Pins have been around for years. Sororities and fraternities have given them out to their sisters and brothers for years as a way to promote unity. In some cases, many groups and teams still do. Sports teams as well as college clubs still give out these Lapel Pins as a sign of belonging as well as a means to identify their own. The Free Masons and people claiming to be of the Knights Templar are one of the oldest groups that have been giving out these now collectible pins. If ever you were to find one, they are worth thousands of dollars.
Motorcycle Lapel Pins are given out to all the members of biker gangs to show their affiliation in the gang as well as to let others know who they belong to. In many cases, Hell's Angels as well as Gypsy Jokers Motorcycle Lapel Pins are collectible items, if you can find any. The pins are often taken from the deceased member and given to their family as a sign of protection. Many family members do not give them up in the instance that they may someday need that assistance that having the Motorcycle Lapel Pins offer.
