A Great Site If You Are Shopping For Good Reproduction Furniture

Having just bought a new home I have been shopping around to buy a few lovely pieces to furnish it with. I love the look and feel of antique furniture but it can be exceptionally hard to find just what you are looking for and the prices can be sky-high. In terms of the choice and pricing it made much more sense to look at reproduction furniture but I didn't want to compromise too much on the quality.
We visited a number of outlets in our local area but most of our search has been carried out online. As we have spent several hours visiting an assortment of reproduction furniture web sites I thought I would share some of our findings with any of you who have a similar interest. My wife loved the Seymour tables in walnut so in the end we settled on a couple of pieces in that style..

I think you would need to have considerable expertise in the antique furniture trade to even realize that some of these items are reproductions. Their French polishers skilfully add a distressed look so that the hue and patina of the piece really looks like it has acquired its character from years of careful, loving use!
There seems to have been a lot of care and attention put into all the ranges they offer. Right from the choice of wood through the construction and to the expert finishing and professional polishing- the attention to detail is all aimed at producing quality reproductions that are as close as possible to the original furniture of centuries ago.
Each piece on the site has clear, high quality photographs to accompany it as well as plenty of detail on the choices of wood and finish that are available. You can also watch a YouTube video which shows one of the pieces in more detail and describes the construction and finishing processes.
