Options For Upgrading Your Manufactured Home

Author : Jamie Jake

Every year manufactured home companies release bigger and better upgrades for buyers to consider when they are customizing their new manufactured home. In fact, the industry doesn’t expect to see a very vast reduction in new innovative ideas and upgrades anytime soon. This is a great thing because with every upgrade and innovative idea brought into the manufactured home industry, manufactured homes edge closer and closer to traditional home quality and standards.

Some of the newest and most commonly used upgrades within the manufactured home industry are lofts, fireplaces, large bathroom upgrades, designer kitchen cabinets and homes with “green” material construction. In addition, some more eccentric home buyers are even choosing to go big with upgrades like indoor pools!

Lofts In Manufactured Homes

For homebuyers who crave a little more space in their manufactured home, the addition of a loft can be an excellent idea. When homebuyers choose to add a loft to their manufactured home, they are giving themselves more room to entertain or to simply hang out with the family. Since most manufactured homes are quite small due to the fact they are low maintenance and need to be easily transported, the loft is a quick and easy way for buyers to get the extra space they desire.

Fireplaces In Manufactured Homes

If you love the idea of sitting by a warm fire during cold winter evenings, adding a fireplace to your manufactured home design is a great idea. Fireplaces can bring instant beauty to any manufactured home floor plan. They are lovely to look at but also are quite functional and can provide needed heat during cold months of the year. When a fireplace is added to a manufactured home, the home instantly increases in value, just as a traditional home would with the addition of a fireplace.

Manufactured Home Upgrades: Bathrooms

To address the issue of cramped bathrooms in manufactured homes, home manufacturers are choosing to offer luxury bathroom upgrades. Many upgrades include larger bathrooms or more bathrooms for basic floor plan designs. In addition, these bathrooms can be decked out in luxurious amenities like jet spa tubs, separate showers, double sinks and much more.

Manufactured Homes With “Green” Materials

Today’s environmentally conscious homebuyer is interested in a home that is constructed with “green” materials which is why manufactured home builders are now offering these upgrades. Homebuyers can choose to have their homes built with alternative materials such as siding, treated wood and recycled insulation. This is one of the most valued upgrade because it not only helps the Earth stay beautiful but it can also save the homeowner money on energy costs down the road.

Whatever upgrades you choose or might be interested in looking into, it’s important to remember almost all of these upgrades will increase the value of your home. When it comes to re-sell the upgrades are almost always what sells a home. After all, not all manufactured homes will contain them so your home will be set apart from the rest!
