I can recall vividly my father introducing me to coloring in pages as a fun activity, and now I am doing the same with my little one. Never mind how the world changes, our kids nowadays love to color in just as much as we did when we were young. This cute cats real actual name is Kitty White, which is a fact that only the most dedicated fans know. Most fans don't even know that she is a twin with a sister is called Mimmy. You can only tell them apart by the color and location of their bows. Kittys is red and sits on the left hand side of her head. Mimmy likes a yellow bow and wears hers on her right. Kitty resides in London, despite being a far eastern creation. Her home is a little white house with a red roof and she lives with both her parents. She goes to school where she can see her closest friend, a little mouse named Joey. The company that made her is called Sanrio and even though they have made over 400 characters it is only Hello kitty that has really made any success. This is even more amazing when you realise that Kitty has no mouth at all! It is believed she does not need one as she speaks with her heart.
Kitty has not aged or grown-up in the many decades since she arrived, but her popularity has constantly increased. Many famous celebrities have been seen carrying her merchandise, such as motorcycles, garbage cans, lockets, cellphone cases, alarm clocks, sanitary napkins and much, much more. So it is a fun, positive and much-loved Hello Kitty that your children will enjoy seeing on their coloring pages. It is great to see that when your kids know the character so well they can then try to use the right colours to fill in the sheet. Your child will see benefits in lots of ways from coloring sheets. Let me tell you about a couple of these.
Here is an idea, ask your kid to make up a tale about what is happening in the picture and fire up their imagination. You will also find that little bits of praise from you can really all add up to a kids sense of self worth and confidence in later life. This is a great way to help your kids learn their colours, shapes, and nouns for items such as hair, dress, legs, nose etc. As your kids work, help them learn the correct names of things they are working on, like eyes, trees, pets etc. Oh, and this is a great way to teach colors to your child.
Family time can be hard to get in the modern world but this is a great activity that all ages can be involved with. Be sure to show their finished efforts around the house and show off how proud you are of the children. A great room to show off their work in would definitely be the foyer or even the bedroom. Be sure to get your youngsters to sign their work. All practise at signing their names is good! Things to do with kids are so expensive these days that it is great to find how low cost coloring pages really is.
