Many young (and older too) boys and girls think about beginning their journey with skateboarding. However, not all of them make the first step. Something stops them. They think it's not for them. In reality, this sport is indeed for everyone.
I'll give you some information on the subject. Probably the most commonly used argument not to start skateboarding (or any other sport) is “I'm not the 'sport' kind of guy”. Nothing more wrong. No one actually is the one. Everything can be gained with regular work. Nobody was ever born with all the perfect skills. If you think you won't manage, you are just lazy.
Maybe you think you are too fat? Again, nothing lost. Do some regular exercise for some time and results will come FOR SURE. Just don't give up too early. Patience is the key. The same thing with doing your desired sport. Don't be upset when you can't do any skateboarding tricks for the first time. It's always the same: work, work and work and you'll see the effects. You have to have strong will.
Last but not least, don't listen to people who discourage you. You can even break contact with the worst ones. It's for your own good. Skateboarding beginners should have their own mind and opinion. As someone once said: “If you think you can do it, or you think you can't, in both cases you are right”. So, don't grumble anymore. Go outdoors, meet friends and get to work! Good luck and see you soon skateboarding.
The writer wants others to learn to skateboard.
