How To Burn Chest Fat

Author : Charles Churchill

Hello, I'm Chas Churchill- a Fitness Instructor with a special interest in advising guys who are overweight, and this very often necessitates assisting guys to. Obviously, both I and the individual need to know exactly what his medical issues are before I can put him on an exercise or nutrition regime.
Does the individual standing in front of me have the condition known as gynecomastia or I usually know from experience which condition the client has but I need him to get a diagnosis from his doctor before commencing to work with him.
It may be of interest to you to find out that the three words derive from the Greek:

* 'gyne' equals 'woman'
* 'mastos' equals'breast'
* 'pseudo' means 'false'

If the guy has a build-up of glandular tissue, possibly accompanied by fatty tissue but not necessarily, the condition from which he is suffering is gynecomastia. If the excess tissue is just adipose or fatty tissue then he has pseudogynecomastia which means false gynecomastia. It is more or less certain that the male in question is overweight or obese.

Irrespective of the verdict from the client's physician and any prescription made, it is going to be absolutely necessary that the client undergoes dietary and lifestyle changes alongside an exercise program. By now I assume that my client has banished all thoughts of liposuction or invasive surgery, both of which are costly. What is expensive? Bills up to $8500, I believe, and it is almost definite that the client's Insurance company will not meet the tab because they state that such treatment is simply the client's choice and is, after all, cosmetic.

Then what sort of program do I, being the Instructor, need to prescribe if my client is to achieve his wish to lose chest fat. Well, my client's program must include a mix of aerobic and resistance exercises. Weights work is necessary due to the fact that we have to replace the client's fatty tissue with lean mass to give the more manly chest he desires. In addition, the additional muscle fibers consume more energy because they are live tissue.

If the client is to attain results then he should commit to a minimum of three visits to the gym per week and my client's workouts will have to include at least 30 minutes hard CV work, typically on three separate pieces of equipment, and my client will need to train hard to ratchet up his pulse rate to between 70 and 85% of his Maximum Heart Rate.

How do we determine an individual's maximum heart rate? Well, we start with 220 beats per minute, which is reckoned to be the average MHR for a baby, and for the first few years of the infant's life. From then on the maximum heart rate will decrease by a beat or so per year. Taking the base figure of 220 you then subtract your client's age to arrive at his MHR. It follows that if the individual is a man of 50 then his MHR will be 220 less 50 which is 170 and want . After some weeks of regular exercise he may well be able to increase his heart rate to 90% of it's maximum or 153 beats per minute.

Accompanying the CV I would insert a number of general resistance exercises to include the major muscle groups, not just the chest. The reason for this is that he will have to strengthen the torso and develop the posture for the next phase. {The first re-assessment will typically follow in 4 to 6 weeks after his original program and will usually result in stepping up to an alternating '2 day split', typically like this|Then, 4 to 6 weeks following this we will have a re-appraisal and, if he has made progress, his next program will be ratcheted up to an alternating 'two day split' looking like this|In about 4 to 6 weeks the client is invariably ready for a more specialised program splitting the workouts into an alternating 'two day split' like this:

CV/Upper Body/Abdominals
CV/Lower Body/Abdominals

Future re-appraisals may well take the client's exercise itinerary up to a quite specific and targeted one, with increased emphasis on the chest. After several months a program may generally look like this:

CV/Chest/Abdominals
CV/Back/Abdominals
Cv/Shoulders+Arms/Abdominals
Cv/Legs/Abdominals

There are a number of variations on workouts and each individual wanting to learn how to lose chest fat is unique.

The best part of this article is centered around gym sessions but I do understand from long experience that a lot of you guys out there don't care for gyms, cannot afford gyms or are simply unable to get to a gym. What is not an option is doing nothing...everyone must undertake some sort of regular and intensive exercise. They will also need some other system of help.

Over the past 2 years I have had a look at other methods by which a man can change his overly fat breasts to a more toned and muscular chest. I have satisfied myself that some of these methods do definitely help and I have thereforeendorsed them as they are drug-free,natural programs that many have found to have worked for them and testify to the fact.

Alongside this on the website there is much more information on both problems.

Author's Resource Box

Charles Churchill, 68 years young Fitness Instructor.
In addition to being a Fitness Professional, I have been a gym user for over 40 years. During this time I have inspired and trained many men to achieve vastly improved Cardio-vascular fitness and, more importantly to them, a stronger and more toned body. Lots of these men had chest issues with many having bad posture through trying to hide man boobs. These were, as I now know, due to either gynecomastia or pseudogynecomastia, so all of this puts me in a unique position when helping men with both problems and giving advice on Lifestyle, Diet, Exercise and the ability to properly evaluate products designed to help with both.
