4 Steps To Naturally Get Rid Of Acne

Author : Jon Arbor

Have you ever woken up only to discover a new pimple on your face? And worse yet, you've got a big date that night, or an important meeting that day. You just got rid of one pimple and then another shows up. It is so frustrating, you feel like you are losing the battle with no end in sight.

You may be wondering what causes pimples and how to stop them. Let's begin with what causes these outbreaks. Did you know that it is a bacteria called Propionibacterium acnes. While this bacteria usually lives on the skin it can grow in pores and plugged hair follicles.

Pimples are actually the result of the later two. The body treats the bacteria growth in the hair follicles as an invasion and reacts by sending white blood cells which cause inflammation. As the wall of the follicle breaks down it allows the infection to spread resulting in pimples or lesions.

Much of the traditional lore concerning the causes of pimples revolves around your food intake. The truth is that there is not much scientific evidence for this. There is evidence though that a healthy diet and body is much better at coping with the infections which lead to pimples.

There are however other factors which can promote a pimple outbreak and although some can be avoided others are just nature.

Some of those which can be avoided are cosmetics, tight and restrictive clothing and scrubbing your skin too vigorously. Other causes may be hormones and also pollution and humidity.

So now I guess you are looking for a home remedy for pimples. Follow these simple steps.

-Be gentle when washing your skin especially when cleaning your face. Use a mild soap and wash 2 times a day. Avoid using one of those rough cleaning pads on your face.

Choose your cosmetics carefully. It is best to use oil free cosmetics and ensure that they are noncomedogenic. This can be found on the label.

Be careful when you are shaving. Soften your facial hair with warm water and soap and insure that you are using a sharp razor. This will reduce nicking which can cause more pimple outbreaks.

And lastly, stop playing with your pimples. Picking and popping them leads to scarring and disfigured skin blotches.

While most of us have suffered through pimple outbreaks at one time or another, close to 80%, they usually subside by the time we are in our thirties. For those still affected with this condition a home remedy for pimples can be as simple as follow the guidelines listed above.
