#1 Used Models Are Cheaper - But New Ones Are, Well, New!
There is something to be said for purchasing a new vehicle. The 'new car smell' is one thing, but having a motorhome that no one else has owned before is rather special. There are many new models that are more affordable than you might think and can fit into most any budget.
Used motorhomes can be a great investment, though. The key is finding one that meets your needs, but doesn't require extensive repairs. Let's face it - not everyone is an honest seller. If you don't know a lot about these vehicles, then you need to take someone with you who does. This will at least lessen the likelihood of purchasing a motorhome that will simply sit while you wait for the money to fix it.
#2 Set Your Budget and Choose Your Features - Then Stick with It
It's easy to become a little overwhelmed when you start shopping. Some of the latest models have extraordinary features - even some you didn't know were available. One of the best parts of travelling is dining in new restaurants and visiting the various attractions. However, it does get expensive rather quickly. You may want to eat one meal out every other day or look for free attractions in order to save money. If there is one place you simply can't do without seeing, then skip one that costs that's a little bit lower on your list of things to do. A budget is a compromise and makes the things you do get to have or do much more appreciated!
