We all know one thing when it comes to biceps, we want big ones. So what are the challenges that are faced when it comes to growing and maintaining a quality bicep.
Here are just a few of the problems at Bicep Beast that we have observed over the years.
1. People tend to not focus enough on the bicep alone.
2. We think that by doing things like bench press that we have worked the bicep already.
3. Not having the correct diet, over or under eating.
4. Do not understand some basic principles about body mass and being lean.
So with these things in mind we will address some of the issues at hand.
1. People tend to not focus enough on the bicep alone.
A major misconception about the bicep is that it will always grow in proportion to the rest of the muscle groups. Well to a point but the thing that so many miss is that the bicep is a very small muscle by comparison. So you will have to focus on the bicep and nothing else in some of your routine's. Not covered here but there is a link below that can certainly help.
2. We think that by doing things like bench press that we have worked the bicep already.
True enough the bicep does wear out while performing such exercises as the bench press. However even though things like the bench press can be a mass builder it usually does not add enough definition to the bicep. So you will have to do some work with more focused workouts such as curls ect.
3. Not having the correct diet, over or under eating.
You can not grow the bicep or any other muscle for that matter unless your just a freak of nature and there are some. Don't you just hate those people, anyway. You will certainly need to increase your protein intake, try around 25 to 40 grams every 3 to 4 hours. For more info you can go to the link below.
4. Do not understand some basic principles about body mass and being lean.
OK, say you have a measurable big arm. What's the problem well you will never know what's underneath until you remove some weight. It can be common for some to want to put on extra weight at first to help increase mass, but however at some point and time you need to get lean by cutting back on the carbs and doing more cardio. At that point you will be able to tell what the next steps are that you need to take in order to obtain a defined bicep.
