Establishing Your Credit With A No Credit Loan

Author : Lara Sawyer

One of the biggest jobs facing younger borrowers is establishing credit history. Without credit history, you cannot get a loan with most lenders, but you cannot establish credit history without getting a loan. Sound both familiar and confusing? The type of loan that works best in this situation is the no credit loan which is written specifically for those borrowers who have not yet established a borrowing reputation.

Types Of No Credit Loan

A no credit loan can be either secured or unsecured. The secured no credit loan is the easiest to get because the bank or lender is not taking a huge risk when they loan money to you. Because you have no record that demonstrates your ability to manage credit that is extended to you, all lenders see you as a potential risk. The secured no credit loan reduces that risk greatly because it requires you to pledge collateral in order to receive funding. Collateral for most borrowers who have no credit is usually the interest in something of value, such as a vehicle. The lender would place a lien against your collateral until your no credit loan is paid in full.

The unsecured no credit loan is another option for those with limited or no credit history. The unsecured no credit loan, although more difficult to receive, is a great option for those who have no collateral to pledge to their no credit loan servicer, which is often the case among younger borrowers. The unsecured no credit loan is a more expensive loan option, however, because the lender sees an increased risk when loaning you money.

No Credit Loan With Cosigner

You can improve the looks of your no credit loan application by simply applying with a creditworthy cosigner. A cosigner is someone applies alongside you on the no credit loan and agrees to pay your payments if you fail to do so. Your cosigner should be someone who has established a good credit history and brings in enough income to make your payments in the event that you default on your no credit loan.

Many borrowers with no credit will ask their parents to cosign their no credit loan, while others might find a relative, friend, or coworker who is willing to be their cosigner. Many lenders will release your cosigner from liability to repay on your behalf once you have established a good payment record with them by paying timely payments on your no credit loan for a specified period of time.

Online No Credit Loans

Many first time borrowers who are looking for no credit loans turn to the Internet to find the best interest rates and fastest approvals on their loan product. When applying online for your no credit loan, you can complete all of your paperwork over the Internet on a secure server from the comfort of your own home or office. Most lenders of no credit loans can approve your application in just hours and you can receive the proceeds of your no credit loan either via a paper check in the mail or through an electronic deposit to your bank account.
