Wedding Hair Styles Tips

Author : james wiliam

A wedding is one of the most important events of a woman's life, which is why a bride wants every detail to be perfect from the ceremony to her gown. This attention to detail should also include the hair style she will wear. She should start thinking about it as early as possible to allow her hair to grow out: hair grows at a rate of approximately a half-inch a month or six inches a year.

On your wedding day, hundreds of eyes will be on you, and your chosen bridal hairstyle can either complete the picture or detract from it. That is why it is so important to choose the perfect formal hairstyle well in advance of the big day so that you and your stylist can get it right and make custom additions to your hair.

You remove your veil for the reception and make a mess of your hair style. Let your hair stylist take care of removing your veil. If he or she will not be at your wedding, have her/him instruct a member of the bridal party how to remove the veil without destroying your hair.

Up styles are suitable for all wedding settings. Wearing your hair up lends an appearance of elegance and sophistication. So if you are having a formal, black tie event then an up style might be a good idea and in some circles it might even be demanded.

You must make sure to have enough time for your make up & hair dressing. Visit your hair stylist at least six weeks prior to the wedding so that they can go ahead with some minor changes needed in the hair. Also, in case you are planning to change your hair style, the hair color, or the length of the hair, you might also need time up to 6 months or so.

If you don't have a hairdresser that you already use be sure to find one that is recommended by your friends and family. For your appointment bring pictures of your wedding dress, headpiece and hairstyles you may want to try. Be sure to share with your hairdresser what you might want to try a new hair color or style.

In order to make sure every detail of you will look good on your big day. You should also arrange some time for your hair stylist to have mock-up of your hair style. Some hair stylist will charge you extra for that and some may not. However, even if the stylist will charge you extra, no one will deny that it is worth spending the money for the mock-up.

If you are having your hair colored or tinted for the wedding, get that done a week before. From time to time high-lights can be bright and look a little too fake when they are first put in. Having the chance to wash your hair 3 - 4 times will tone this down quite a bit for a more normal look.

For a more glamorous wedding hairstyle, wearing your hair in a topknot is a wonderful choice. This wedding hairstyle actually frames your face and will certainly draw attention to your facial features such as your eyes or lips. This wedding hairstyle is very popular for women who want to make a bold and gorgeous entrance.
