Latvia is an area that has been occupied now for more than 11 thousand years since the icecaps receded over this area of Europe. A mere 5 thousand years ago, people entered from the Baltic territories and they are the first to have lived in Latvia as we know it today. Although, it wouldn't be right to say that these are the only people who live within this proud country. In fact, there are a great number of various ethnic groups that have converged also involving people from Germany, Russia and the neighboring countries of Sweden, Belarus and Lithuania. This mix of various people has combined a broad range of concepts and lifestyles that have united with each other to form a really unique culture not like another found on our planet.
First and foremost you need to understand the truth about this land is that it has had its share of hard times, from enemies to Soviet occupations. With each of these governmental changes, Latvia gained a different way to understand the world. The citizens took full benefit of every opportunity to understand the world around them and different cultures, too. Throughout its history a big collection of music has come part of the folk history of this nation and presently over thirty thousand one of a kind melodies play a role in the hearty musical tradition of Latvia.
Long ago, the country chose to embrace the arts and scholastics as its primary accomplishment and as a result, there are many very artistic individuals within Latvia. By going after serene interests they have escaped violence and given a lot to the world in terms of art. They also demanded that education was provided for everyone for free till they were grown up. Since, Latvia is a nation where the ability to read does well and almost everyone knows how to read and write very well. It is a place where learning is applauded and grasping life and our world is a big segment of what this country provides .
Not many other nations in the world can boast what a splendid reputation as a nation of learners and creative thinkers that strive to better the world. In this, the nation of Latvia stands proud as a place where all are inspired to take part in the national integrity, but at the same time, be themselves and strive for the pursuits in life that motivate them. It isn't any wonder that those who visit here come back with such a great amount of wonderful tales not only about the beauty of the land, but the hospitality and intelligence of its inspiring people. There is at all times a lot to see and participate in when in Latvia.
