You Can Apply For Obama's New Debt Relief Program And Pay Off Your Debts With Grant Money!

Author : Lindsy Emery

In the wake of the global financial crisis, the average level of household debt is rising as unemployment spikes. More and more individuals and families are defaulting on their loans or filing for bankruptcy. For many, no job and the lack of a steady source of income has resulted in them not being able to pay for day-to-day expenses, let alone the debt that has been accumulated through past borrowing and spending.

Every year, billions of taxpayers' dollars are set aside as government grants by Congress. Through the Obama administration's economic stimulus package, some of these dollars may finally be coming back to taxpayers themselves. The government has established grant programs that specifically target relieving households of their debt. Although most of the grant money goes to businesses and local governments, indirectly benefiting those connected to these entities, some money is granted directly to individuals

You can apply for government debt relief grants online through a number of different government websites. There are grant programs targeted at helping you pay off specific debts such as your medical expenses, student loans, car loans, home mortgages and even, to a much lesser extent, your credit card bills. What makes these government grants so much better than other methods of eliminating debt such as obtaining a consolidation loan or filing for bankruptcy is that if you use the money to pay off your debt, you don't have to pay it back in the future. The grant money is essentially a free gift from the government to you.
