Another attraction that draws many visitors is the Cliff Walk, a 3.5 mile walk atop Newport’s beautiful coastal cliffs. Newport also boasts some of the most beautiful beaches in New England, including First Beach and Gooseberry Beach. Downtown Newport is home to historic wharves, restaurants and distinctive shops.

Charleston, SC

Historic Charlestown is a quaint town with a true southern feel and irresistible charm. Charleston, an “Old South City,” is home to many historic inn and bed and breakfast options offering luxury accommodations and traditional hospitality. Discover the six islands just offshore and enjoy their beautiful, undisturbed Atlantic beaches. Explore Charleston’s vibrant history by visiting one its many museums and African-American heritage sites.

Annapolis, MD

Annapolis has long been known as the “sailing capital of America.” As the home of the United States Naval Academy, Annapolis’ maritime history has shaped this quaint city’s personality. The nautical theme abounds through shops, galleries and historic buildings in the town. With a thriving harbor and downtown area, there is plenty to see and do. Annapolis is home to many unique galleries, theaters and museums, as well as shops, cafes and bookstores.

Old Town Alexandria, VA

Old Town Alexandria, located just across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C., is a getaway from the city where visitors and residents alike can enjoy the beautiful waterfront and historic, cobblestone streets. Once an important sea port, Old Town Alexandria today is known for its historic buildings, antique shops, museums and art galleries.
