The tango dance is gaining lots of fame in the world these days. It basically originated in the working class fringes of Argentina and Uruguay. When considered about the tango music there is many different dance variants which include argentine tango, Finnish tango, and ballroom tango. But the argentine tango is regarded to be the closest to the original and the traditional tango.

The tango is considered as a mixture of many different cultural music styles which were available in South America in the end of the 19th century. Taking some dance steps from the African tribal, Cuban Habanera and the Uruguayan Milonga, the tango has become one of the most admirable and unique dance step of the world.

The Buenos Aires, the famous city of the United Kingdom has the most influence on the dance. The history reveals that the was initially not liked and was rejected by the upper classes of the society. But it gained a huge popularity in the lower section of Buenos Aires.

The tango has been converted in trend within the high society and as fast it gained the popularity it became out of favor. Basically till the time most of the lower classes stated disliking the tango shows and it resulted in the huge downfall in the popularity one of the most famous South American dance.

The tango shows consists of a variety of styles that got its roots from different areas and section of Argentina as well as other places across the globe. The different styles of tango dances include:

1. Tango argentine
2. Tango Liso
3. Tango Nuevo
4. Tango Oriental
5. Tango Salon
6. Ballroom tango

The tango is danced with different types of music:

1. Milonga
2. Vals
3. Tango Electronico
4. Alternative tango

The Milonga style can be differentiated by a very close hold in arms, synchronized and rhythmic foot works and small steps. The tango that was first started and originated in the family clubs of the uptown region includes dance steps like complex figures and long stylish figures. Thus the hug may be allowed to open concisely to allow use of intricate foot works. While practicing the argentine tango the center of the body moves first, then the feet moves forward to provide the support. In the the ball room tango, the body is at first set in motion across the floor with the bend of the lower joints that are hips, knee and the ankles; but the feet's are delayed; eventually the feet moves quickly to hold the body which results in grabbing or snatching action which reflects the staccato nature of this style's best preferred music.

The steps of the argentine tango are more gliding but they can vary widely in speed, timing and the character and it also doesn't follows specific rhythm.
