Nainital town itself is positioned around a beautiful lake called Naini jheel. It’s this attractive setting which makes Nainital a hot traveler spot particularly for honeymooners who get pleasure from the view of the good-looking lake and also try their hands at boating, get themselves snapped to take sugary memories back home. Other local attractions include ropeway travel and Naina Devi Temple. Once you are done with sight seeing, how about some shopping at the Mall Road. Nainital is called India’s Lake District. And it’s really not an unmerited reference because it is dotted with many big and small beautiful lakes. Those specialties are of all the hill stations recognized by the Britishers during their regulation in India.

Besides Naini jheel there is another lagoon near Nainital, Khurpatal. An tour to this lake is an experience in itself. Once you have finished Nainital and its immediate areas, start looking for other celebrated lakes of this district, which even enthralled the famous shikari Jim Corbett. First one you can spot is Bhimtal, the main of the lakes in the district. The small town is named after the lake itself and it is said that it’s named after the strong Pandav brother Bhima. Here too you can enjoy boat riding. This island has a restaurant for those who want to spend some time comforting in the heart of the water. From here drive up to the beautiful group of lakes called Saat Tal (Seven Lakes). It is said at one time there were seven lakes here but now only 5 are outstanding. Of all the lakes in this Lake District this group of the lakes is the cleanest one.

Others experience from the attribute Indian tourism concern. All kind of garbage finds it way into the lakes due to the total is short of of anxiety on part of the visitors and local administration. Boating here is an experience in itself. These lakes are bounded by green mountains and make a really high-quality picture. After you have relished Saat Tal, there is another lake waiting for you to see. This lake is called Naukuchiatal, named so because it has nine corners. The legend has it that if you can see all the nine corners of the lake whatever you wish, it gets fulfilled. Regrettably this lake too suffers from the refuse throwing. It really needs some good cleaning up before it turns into an ugly pool. If you have some time to spare, then do visit a small village called Jeolikot near Nainital, which is known for its health giving climate. Also, visit Bhuvan Kumari’s Cottage, which is like some gallery of racial art. Door, windows and walls everything has some sort of artistic touch personally collected by the lady herself. Nainital is October and November when it’s not very crowded and the climate is just perfect for truly amazing hill experience. The nearest airport to Nainital is at Pantnagar, which is about 71 kms away. The nearest railway station is at Kathgodam situated around 35 kms away. Kathgodam is connected by rail directly with Delhi, Nainital is well connected by road to other parts of the country. You can reach Nainital by road from Delhi, Lucknow, Agra and Bareilly.
